Last Minute Mother’s Day Gifts

Last Minute Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Mother’s Day is the day after tomorrow, you may have gotten busy, forgotten, or just could not think of anything to do or give.  Well, it isn’t too late!

Handprint Towel

Handprint Towel from Poofy Cheeks.  I remember doing one of these when I was little with a poem.  What a simple and cute craft for mother’s and grandmother’s!  Anything with handprints on it is a great gift idea!

Mani/Pedi in a jar from Freebie Finding Mom.  What a cute, simple and inexpensive idea!  I would probably do this if I hadn’t already mailed my mom’s present!

Handmade Recipe Tea Towel from Sometime’s Homemade.  This would also be a great idea for a grandmother!

How about a pampering kit and include these DIY Bath Salts from Shaken Together Life?  Pretty sure I would make these for myself :)

And we haven’t seen etched glass in a while but it is still there and some really cute things could be done for mother’s day with it.  How about a vase?  Or a glass?  Here is a great tutorial at The Sweetest Occasion.

If you don’t want to do any of the above wonderful ideas then these simple ideas always are a good go to….

Any ideas when my craft supplies look like this?

Be warned, it isn’t pretty!!

I do wonder if I can get a dresser and put it where all these bins are. Better looking storage maybe?

This was actually a pretty good attempt. You would not want to see pictures of what it looked like BEFORE this! (Pardon the bathroom door being open :)

And fabric just on the bookcase :)

Yeah, I need some help. It is a problem when you move back home and have one room for everything :) One day I will have a room just for crafting! I cannot wait!

TOMS- One for One

You have probably heard of the TOMS company. It is amazing what TOMS is doing for our world. For every pair of shoes they sell, they give a pair to someone in need. There are many, many places around the world where children run around on unsafe streets barefoot and TOMS is working to fill that need. A lot of the disease that people die from in third world countries are soil transmitted. By providing shoes, TOMS is helping to decrease these diseases.

Their shoes, while simple looking, are VERY comfortable! They have increased in comfort since they started and now have leather (and even vegan) insoles. While they are a little more expensive (starting at $44 for adults), you are giving a pair of shoes to someone who may never have worn a pair in their lives. They also have some apparel that goes towards shoes and childrens’ sizes. Not only do TOMS provide shoes but they put on Days Without Shoes and other events to get the word out.

In addition, there are many styles of shoes and they are pretty cute. They even have nautical designs, wedge designs and glitter shoes!! If you check out their blog they have recently been featured in a lot of magazines.

Basically the mission is simple- one for one. You buy a pair and a pair is donated. It can’t get much simpler than that!
