Easy, Custom iPhone Case

So I kind of have ADD when it comes to my iPhone case.  I don’t want to spend a fortune on something I am going to get sick of.  So I decided to buy a clear case and make a template to be able to change the background out.  I like to buy the TPU cases where they have a lip above the screen, I feel these have the best protection.

Here is my template and my case.  It took a few tries to get it to fit correctly but definitely worth it.

Then you trace your pattern on any pattern of paper.  Of course, make sure to trace it on the backside (I don’t really think y’all are stupid but I could totally see myself doing that.)

I really wanted to make a Christmas one and I found this shiny stripped paper.  It is currently my phone case right now.

Glitter black chevron paper.  I found a half off sale on the paper, which well paper is not really that expensive, the nice, glitter, shiny ones tend to be more.

I went a little overboard!  The best thing is when I get sick of them or want something new it is easy to just take out my phone and place in the new one.  You can see I ended up cutting the camera hole at the top.  I was using an exacto knife and was getting the hole correct but then it was just easier to go ahead and cut it.

My hot pink glitter.  I will probably use this one after Christmas.

Here they are in colored cases.  Still look pretty nice.  For under $10 I have quite a few iPhone cases to choose from!  I showed some people who thought that was how the case came, so I guess it looks pretty good!

500 Follower Giveaway!!

So after much consideration (well, a few minutes at least!) I decided to have a giveaway for making it to 500 followers! I am very strapped for cash but definitely wanted to say thank you for following and reading my blog.

How can I do that? How about giving away a $25 gift certificate to Ladybug Blessings!!

I know you are all very excited, heck I would be very excited to win it, haha. :) Now I am not a big fan of rules for giveaways but you must be a follower of Ladybug Blessings, either through google friend or RSS (button at the top). I do not normally require this in my giveaways but since it is a follower giveaway I do think this should be required :)

Extra Entries:
1. Follow me on twitter (button above)
2. Blog about this giveaway
3. Friend me on Facebook (button above)
4. Tweet about this giveaway

Please leave a comment for each one. I know that is a pain but it is the best way :) The giveaway will run until March 4th @ Midnight.

Oh and a huge thank you to Christina @ The Tattered Tag for Ladybug Blessings being the featured shop of the week!

Some family necklaces

So my friend Claire is probably one of my best customers. I love what she thinks up for necklaces and she came up with the above necklace for her sister’s birthday. Her sister has three kids, Isabella, AJ and Adalynn. Instead of having all three of the kid’s birthstones Claire had her sister’s birthstone (amethyst) attached to the necklace. I just love how it dangles and cannot wait to hear how Sarah loves it!! (Claire reads the blog sometimes, but I don’t think Sarah does! Which in this instance is a good thing :)

Claire also used to be a nanny for an adorable little girl named Harper. She is still in touch with them and Harper’s mom just had a new baby named Helen Jane so Claire wanted a necklace for them too. I made them both the same (minus the names of course:) and loved how they turned out! Although, instead of the birthstone for this one Claire wanted the pearl. I love the look of the pearl!

Gifts for my Grandparents

Grandparents are not the easiest people to buy for. Currently I don’t have a lot of money and really they have everything they need. Plus my grandparents live in New Hampshire and shipping? Yeah, not the cheapest! I know they appreciate when I make them things and I was very excited with what I came up with this year!

For my grandmother? A casserole dish carrier. I used the heat resistant fabric and placed it in between my layers. It folds in and ties over the dish and then the other layers come up and the wood handles are to carry it. I also used extra fabric to make pot holders that match. I figured she could bring those when she brings the entire carrier.

I don’t have pictures of what I made my grandfather but I made him handkerchiefs. I purchased them for him a few years ago and hand embroidered them but this year I actually made them for him. I tried to “embroider” using my machine (not an embroidery machine) and let me just say they did not come out as neat as when I did them with my hands. But I know he will love them and use them just the same. :)

You can find me here

update so I wrote on a card what it was (just in case she didn’t know) and my mom told me she’d wrap and send it since she was sending them stuff anyway. Yeah, mom put it on the OUTSIDE of the present!! So when I called her today she told me what the card said. I told her she should just open it, at least that way she’d get use out of it. haha. She cried!! PERFECT REACTION! I love my Mimi!
