Max on Life is written by Max Lucado. Max Lucado is probably my absolutely favorite Christian author. His books provide such insight while providing Biblical Truth. This book is Max answering reader’s questions. It is organized in a very easy to read format with each question numbered (1-172) and also in different chapters (Hope, Hurt, Help, Him/Her, Home, Have/Have-Nots, and Hereafter). Not only that but in the back there is a Topical Index and a Scripture Index. He really has thought of everything!
This is an excellent book to use as a devotional, come to if you have questions or just read as a normal book. My one complaint would be that he would have gone deeper in the scriptures but it is a terrific starting point for a reader who can then search the scriptures and truth further to search for answers. This book does not shy away from the hard questions and gives you logical answers. I also feel that he writes with biblical truths but does not shame the reader if your opinion or idea is different than him. He is giving you the truth and giving you the scriptures to back it up.
