Chloe (aka spoiled dog) goes on walks every morning with my mom. It is getting a little chilly and she needs a coat. So I made her a very easy fleece, reversible coat.
This is the main “pattern” for the coat. I had a smaller one made that I made for another dog and I just traced it making it a little bigger for Chloe. You just need to get the main shape correct. You need at least two layers, although my mom wishes I made three. (Two is really fine, Pancake has two and she gets cold easily!)
Now just layer the layers and sew them together. You don’t have to make seams because it is fleece (my favorite part so it is really easy to sew together.
Now put the velcro on. It needs to go on at the neck and the part that goes under their belly. One thing to make sure is that you sew them on opposite sides because you want it to work and to be reversible. After I pin it I always triple check to make sure I have it pinned correctly.
Now try it on and get your dog to model. I think she looks cute, what do you think?
