Yay for Friday

Yay for Friday!  Can you believe we have only one more Friday until Christmas?  Two more weekends before Christmas?  How does December just FLY by?  It happens every year but it just goes by so so fast.  I wish it would slow down a little bit!  I don’t have any theme to my Friday post this week but that is how it normally happens!

1- Have you heard of chapbooks? I hadn’t until yesterday and now I cannot wait for them to come in the mail.  You can get all of your instagram photos (well, you can have some of them excluded) into little $6 (free shipping!) books.  My mistake was not using someone’s referral code for your first book free!  No joke!  If you use my code: 9PETNKKA and you will receive your first book free.  You can set it up so they just send them to you when you reach 60 photos.  You can also make little books with any pictures you choose, $6 for the first 30 and then a little amount afterward.  I think it is around $12 shipped for 60 photos.  It is a little different from some of the other photo books because you can’t put multiple photos on a page or do a ton of editing but it can have your captions, locations (I turned these off) and more.  I’m super excited and will share when I get them!

2- I am *almost* done Christmas shopping.  I tend to get stressed out with finding the most perfect gift for everyone.  I like to start early and be done early.  I still have my dad to buy for (he is almost impossible) but other than that I am done.

3- I am absolutely loving the She Reads Truth Advent Study.  The She Reads Truth devotionals are amazing and I learn so much through them.  It is so important that we spend time daily with our Savior.  It is truly amazing how Christ’s birth is told throughout all of scripture.  It is amazing that He came as a baby, an innocent baby, to save all of us.  There just aren’t words.

4- These are my favorite slipper socks.  Since I work from home I wear them almost every day during the winter.  They are the shea socks from Bath & Body Works.  I have quite a few pairs but these are my newest ones.  How cute are the reindeer?  Sadly, the shea doesn’t last forever and the rubber things on the bottom can come off easily but I still love them!

5- Bath & Body Works 3 Wick Candles.  I have been burning these non-stop.  I should have purchased a replacement.  Actually, today in-stores only they are $8!  Sadly, I live an hour outside the city but I may make a trip in just for the candles!  My favorites are the Evergreen and the Twisted Peppermint.

So there you have it.  My five random, random things for this lovely (and tired!) Friday.  I hope everyone has a fabulous and restful weekend!

Yay for Fridays!

1- Willow has been spreading her wings. Honestly, I did not want to let my kitty outside.  I wanted her to be indoors only.  But… she is a ranch cat and she was born outside.  She has wanted to go outside for ages.  She is so, so, so happy out there.  She comes in to see me randomly throughout the day (I work from home), and at night.  She is playing with the other cats and having a great time.

2- Evergreen Candle from Bath & Body Works.  I have used some of their three wick candles before and wasn’t as impressed as I wanted to be.  I figured I would give it another shot for the Evergreen as I really wanted something that smelled like Christmas trees.  I have not been disappointed.  This candle smells up the entire room and I absolutely love it!

3- Thanksgiving!  Since Thanksgiving is next Thursday, which is before Friday it can go on the list.  It is definitely time to knock out the Christmas shopping!

4- Christmas Shopping.  How are y’all doing on it?  The girls on my list are so much easier to buy for than the guys.  I basically have them almost done!  Does anyone have ideas for men?

5- BAGGU 13″ Bag.  This is my new bag for my Macbook Pro.  I love it.  I haven’t used it yet but got it for when I travel to Tennessee for Christmas.  I am excited about using it though!

Yay for Fridays

Happy Friday! I have been visiting Tennessee this week and am absolutely exhausted! It is amazing how tired going to my hometown makes me. I think it is because I try to fit in so many things in such a short period of time that I am just utterly exhausted by the end!  Also, when I am in TN I work from the office (instead of at home like I do in TX) and so going into the office is different for me.

For this week’s Friday post I am sharing some random photos from the week.

1- Pancake makes me laugh.  I traveled with Pancake because she would be home all day by herself and the kennel can get expensive.  It was cheaper to put her under my seat than to bring her.  Although, she (like me) is a nervous flyer.  I let her stick her head out a little bit which I think she enjoyed.

2- Surprising Mom.  I came to TN to actually babysit but it happened to be over Mom’s birthday.  So I worked my my sister (her and my dad were the only ones who knew I was coming here.  I didn’t want to ruin the surprise!) and knew where and when they were going to dinner.  I didn’t even tell my brother.

3- Hometown Pictures.  Franklin is an absolutely beautiful town and is extra pretty in the fall.  So I love walking around taking pictures of it.

4- Dogs in the bed.  I have been getting lots of nice sleep (and have been absolutely exhausted!) but last night I let the puppies sleep with me.  Pancake normally spends most of her time with me (since I work from home) that I think she has been having withdrawals with me being in the office during the days.  Somehow I ended up with both of them in my bed last night.  Chloe is my mom’s dog.

5- Watching old home movies.  My mom recently had all of our old home movies transferred to dvd and we have been watching them.  Izzy decided to come watch them too.  The videos are hysterical to see how we were when we were little.

Crazy Weekend!

This weekend was C-R-A-Z-Y! I spent a lot of time @Wedding 101 because they had their first bridal expo this weekend. It went great and we got great reviews from the brides! I met some pretty awesome people as well and won the silent auction of a 2 hr photography package from Ryan Sweeney Photography (same guy that does the photo booth. see below!). I’m giving it to my mom for her birthday. Family shots anyone?

Sad news this weekend is that my phone service got cut off. Yeah, it was on automatic renewal. Nice! I have been with a no contract service (cough Simple Mobile cough) since I got back from Australia. Let me just say I am done with that. I have had problem after problem including an entire month of no texting. And today they are not even answering their customer service line. Sorry guys, I gave you a try!

So now I am going to need to switch provides. Who to choose? Have a great week!
