Wedding Photos [3]

Last wedding photo post! For now :)

Veil

I love this photo.  We did the majority of our couple photos before the ceremony, so this one was done after and I absolutely love it!

Gym 1

I have mentioned some last minute changes we had to make and that included moving our reception into the church gym.  I had one meltdown the day before and family and friends stepped up and made it look amazing!  I had provided the decorations and everything, and they put them into place.  I did not enter the gym until our grand entrance.  When the lights were off the gym looked magical.  Best it has probably ever looked.

Gym 2

The swags are lighted garlands with mini bows tied on all of them.  It probably took them forever!

Gym 3

I loved these little touches of burlap on the walls.

gym entrance

Our grand entrance into the gym.  The lights were on for this.

freebirds

We had Freebirds cater.  It is a Mexican Burrito place.  Everyone LOVED it.

cake cutting

I absolutely LOVE our cake.  I wanted something simple that we could place flowers on and that is exactly what I got.  Sadly, I didn’t even get a piece of it, haha.  Our cake is from Strictly Sweets and our cake topper was from Rustic Wedding Stop.  No one asked me to give you their information, but I loved it all I thought I would share :)

toasts

Josiah’s brothers gave us a “toast.”

first dance

Our first dance.  We danced to Hold You Up by Matthew West.  I love how my dress sparkled.

leaving

And we had a bubble exit!!

Wedding Flowers

Josiah is amazing at making flowers.  He really could have made the bouquets, but I did have a flower shop do those :) He had a vision with all the flowers for decorations and tables and ran with it.  If you have the time and can do it, I highly recommend making them yourself because we saved a ton of money!

large flowers

These flowers were on display in the church.  We put them on pedestals.

pew markers

These flowers were used to make the pews in the church.

church

Here is the entire scene set.  Josiah also made the arrangements in the large silver vases in the back.  For the last minute changes we had to make, I loved how it turned out.

silver vases

table flowers

We kept the table arrangements pretty simple.  I purchased buckets at Ikea and Josiah designed arrangements for them.  Thankfully we had wonderful friends helping us make them!

table arrangement

There was some issues with the flowers arriving (they arrived the day before in ALL the wrong colors).  Josiah got it all taken care of before he even told me about it! :)  And they looked beautiful!

Wedding Photos [# 2]

Wedding Photos part 2!  Again, sorry for the photo overload.  I absolutely love our photos and our photographers and want to make sure to document everything that happened.  Well, not everything because that would be a TON but the big things! :)

bridesmaids

My beautiful bridesmaids.

Groomsman

Wedding Party

The entire wedding party with our flower girl and ring bearers.

Ushers

Josiah and our ushers

Kids

Will, Ellen, Me, Anne & Caroline.  I have babysat these kids (teenagers now!) since Ellen was a baby.  I knew they would be in my wedding.

Family

We took tons of family photos.  Here is us with our immediate families.

Ceremony 1

Giving away of the bride

Ceremony 2

Josiah’s cousins Morgan & Hallie sung Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” during the ceremony.  Josiah and I started dancing.

Uncle David Pray

During the Pastor’s part, Josiah’s uncle said a few words.  He has been like a father figure to Josiah, so it was a really sweet moment.

footwashing 1

Instead of a Unity Candle or Sand Ceremony we had a foot washing.  The water was FREEZING.

footwashing 2

I picked these socks out for Josiah, and while I knew we were having a footwashing, I forgot when we were in the middle of the ceremony.

pronouncement

This was when said, “Kristen, you may now kiss your groom.”

kidss

carry

And Josiah surprised me by telling me to jump.  He didn’t trip and he carried/basically ran with me down the entire aisle.  The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and it was one of those things that a few days before I was not sure how it was going to turn out because we had to change the location last minute.  We had originally planned to get married at the new church and that didn’t get finished in time so we were going to get married outside.  Well, due to the rain we moved the ceremony to the old church and Josiah just made it work and it looked incredible.
