[Handmade Tuesdays [Handmade Pact]

Hey everyone I am Amanda from a little blog & store called Mays Homemade. I am extremely excited that Kristen asked me to do a tutorial. I think her homemade pact is a wonderful idea.

Today I have not only a tutorial but also a giveaway for you. I first will be teaching you how to make Homemade Pot/Pan Coasters from burlap scraps you just might have laying around your house. They make a great present for the up coming holidays.

All you need for your pan coaster are the following:

  • 10-12 pieces of burlap about 12 in long and 1 in wide
  • Hot glue gun
  • Yarn for embellishments

1.First take your burlap strips and glue over both ends into a triangle

2. Twist burlap and then roll it up into a circle

3. Keep repeating step one with all of your strips and then add each one to your hot pad

4. Add strips until you reach your desired size (mine is very small I’m using mine as a accent to my table)

Once you have reached your desired size you can add some yarn to make it look like a flower. Cut off any stray ends and your ready to set it out on the table. It is great to put under hot pans to protect your table and counters and make a great house warming present.

I think they turn out so cute it can also be a fun craft kids can help with! ( just be sure to help them with the glue gun).

Giveaway!!
