So I saw Susan @ Living with Punk’s idea about the “i heart my state shirts” and knew I had to do it for “my kids.” I went to Target (favorite store!) and bought cute tees for A & C and then just regular t-shirts for W & E.
I LOVE how they turned out. You print out your state online & then make a pattern using freezer paper (best invention ever!). Then get your fabric paint and start painting. I also decided to outline the states in another contrasting color.
For C, I also switched out the sleeves on her shirt (very easy to do, I’ll put up a tutorial eventually!) because she is just so upbeat and it fits her personality. Love her facepaint that E did? She also had purple hair.
Obviously, a little more “boyish” for W. Instead of the heart I used silver iron-on studs and made a circle. I love how they turned out and plan on making more of them!
