Happy Birthday to Me :)

Mom dinner

It’s my birthday! *yay*  I don’t think I will ever not celebrate my birthday, no matter how old I get.  I mean, how great is it to celebrate another year that God has blessed you with?  Anyway, it isn’t just my birthday.  It is my brother and my sister’s birthday as well.  Yes, we are triplets.  And the photo above is us with our amazing mother.  I still don’t know how she did it!  So Happy Birthday to Kendra and Jordan!

Since it is my birthday and I like to get free stuff… here is a list of things you can get free on (or around) your birthday.  These are some of my favorite but there are TONS out there.  Some of the ones that you have to sign up for have to be done in advance.  But you can always sign up for them and receive it next year!

Birthday Rewards

A & W Restaurant gives you a free root beer float.

Arby’s sends you free birthday shake with purchase.

Auntie Anne’s sends you a coupon for BOGO.

Bare Essentials sends you a coupon for a free full sized item.

Dairy Queen sends you two coupons.  Free blizzard when you buy a medium and a coupon for a cake discount.

DSW sends you a $5 off coupon.

Great American Cookie sends you a coupon for a free cookie cake slice when you purchase a regular soda.  <– I tried to use it last year but was told the location did not accept coupons.  So I think they can choose to or choose not to.

IHOP sends you a coupon for a free Pancake stack.

Kendra Scott gives you 50% off one item.  You have to have signed up for their email club in the store when you purchased something to qualify.

Krispy Kreme sends you a coupon for a free doughnut of your choice and a free small coffee or fountain drink.

Maggiano’s Little Italy gives you a $10 coupon.

Sephora Beauty Insiders gives you a free birthday gift.

Sonic lets you choose a free treat.  I always choose the cream slush.

Happy Birthday Mom

Happy Birthday to my wonderful Mother!  She is always there when I call and need her to listen.  I pray that she has a fabulous birthday!

Mom babies on couch

I have absolutely no idea how she did it with triplets.  And look at Schultz, he was looking at the camera asking, “please make it stop.”

Happy 17th Birthday Bailey

Bailey is turning 17 today. It will be her last birthday as her health is not good at all and she is very uncomfortable.  My mom has made the decision to have her put down.  Bailey lived a wonderful life, so full of energy until her health rapidly declined in the past year.  She is a Cairn Terrier and was quite the spunky little thing!  She loved catching snow in her mouth and was terrified of thunderstorms.  Even in her old age she would climb the steep stairs trying to get where she couldn’t see the lightning.  Happy Birthday Bailey! While you won’t be with us much longer you made it to 17 years old with lots of spunk!

Happy Birthday Bailey!

I know this picture is blurry but this is still one of my favorite pictures of Bailey and me.

This is probably one of my absolute favorite pictures of Bailey.  When she was younger she loved to play in the snow (the little bit we would get!) and catch the snowballs.  This one was actually in the paper.

HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY BAILEY!!

Our sweet Bailey is 16 years old today!  She is a Cairn Terrier and while she is definitely showing the signs of old age she is definitely a little trooper!  She still tries to play with Pancake (who is a little snob and won’t play with her).  I made some dog treats for her to celebrate tomorrow and they were super simple I thought I would share.  They can be done a few different ways and there are quite a few recipes floating around the internet regarding how to make them but I am pretty sure they are all similar.  I used the one I found here but altered it a little bit.

No Bake Dog Biscuits

Ingredients:

1. 3/4 cup peanut butter

2. 1 1/4 cup oats

3. 1/4 cup water (you may need to add a little more.  I probably ended up using 1/2-3/4 cup)

4. 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon

You are supposed to mix the peanut butter, water and cinnamon first and then slowly poor in the oats.  I put all the oats in first and it was difficult to mix it all together.  Once you get a decent mixture you can roll them into little balls easily and place them on a lined cookie sheet in the fridge.  They stay good up to two weeks in the fridge or up to 2 months in the freezer.

They look delicious right?  haha.  The dogs ate them right up when I gave them a sample of them.
