Country Music Marathon Race Photos [finally!]

I am finally putting up the pictures from the Country Music Half Marathon.  As you can see from looking at them I was being a total dork.  But 13.1 miles is a long way and you have to keep it interesting!

This is probably my most favorite picture that I have of me running.  I was boring & basically gave thumbs ups and/or peace signs for all the pictures so I love how the camera caught it.

This is Catherine and I running in front of Belmont (my school :)  Catherine and I ran the race together.  She is one of my mom’s good friends (& mine too!) and just recently moved back to France :(  I hope to visit her one day!

Here we are in front of the Country Music Hall of Fame, so many fun things to run around in downtown Nashville.

This photographer was on a bridge above and so when I saw him I started jumping.  I wish he would have gotten me mid-air but I can’t be picky :)

This was me for most of the race in front of the cameras.  You can notice the lady laughing at me.  She had probably seen me do this to quite a few photographers, haha.

And finally here is the finish line.  I was so happy to be crossing it!

Happy Box

So I have totally been on a happiness kick recently and honestly I don’t know the reason (nor do I think I really care all that much :). I have not had a ton of time for crafting (trust me, it has been hard!) but I have managed small projects that don’t take a lot of time (or money). When I found this box in the Dollar Spot (it was $2.50) @ Target, I knew I could do something with it.

I love to scrapbook, keeping ticket stubs etc. and decided that making a Happy Box would be a brilliant idea. The box is not big, but it is big enough to keep some pictures and small special things. Then when I need a dose of happiness all I have to do is open it up and look through it.

As you can imagine it was super easy. I took my favorite robin’s egg blue spray paint and painted the box. I then sanded it to give it some pink coming through and then took my Silhouette (with our love/hate relationship) and put Happy on the box (with a ladybug of course). And it sits on my dresser, making me quite happy :)
