Thank you, Thank you!

I am absolutely horrible at passing on awards but I feel so honored & blessed to have received them! Today I found out that I received two awards and so I decided I needed to sit down right now and post about them & say thank you! I know the rules say blogs you recently discovered but I did a mixture. It is always so hard choosing because I love so many blogs! (You should see how many I have in my reader!).

New Blog Design!

If you have visited me in the past few days you have seen some of what I have been up to (and I’m still not 100% done) but I have been completely re-doing my blog. I wanted to have much brighter colors than what I had and I LOVE this design. I still have a few things to do but for the most part I am done. I hope you like it all!

Now for the thanks! I did the blog designing myself but I did not draw that A-M-A-Z-I-N-G image of myself & Pancake. Noor over @ So Sweet Designs is working with an illustrator who can work her magic and in no time (seriously, she works FAST!) have a beautiful graphic of you! She is an absolute pleasure to work with and I cannot be more happy with the results! I mean how cute is that puppy? She captured me & Pancake perfectly!

Also, in case you were wonder what design kit I used for the layout I purchased Color My World over @ Scrap Orchard. They have some great kits over there & I highly recommend them!

I made it!!

Yes folks, I made it! I think I am “officially” a real blogger. Now you may be wondering why I am (a year and a half after starting my blog) making this statement. Well, I am seriously sick of all of my spam comments! I mean, I feel like I have “made” it because I have them, but I am sick of them. You don’t ever see them because I do have filters on but I know they are there

I have also been thinking, how often is too much to blog or what is the “right” number of posts per week? Is posting once a day good, is it too much if you post more than once a day? What about three times a week? Is that good or too little?

Just some random thoughts that are going through my head. I am sitting here blogging on my couch as Chloe (doberman looking dog in banner) is taking her snout and lifting up my left hand. Yes, she lifts it up so I will pat her head as she licks my hands. She has to be in on all the action. Ridiculous!!

crafts, crafts, and more crafts….

I know I have mentioned it on here before but 1. I love to make crafts and 2. I baby-sit A LOT! Well, the kids I babysit know that I love to do crafts and I will do them with them most days. It creates problems when I have absolutely no idea what crafts to do with them or there are no supplies. So then it gets to where I am scrambling to find something to do with them!! Recently I have been finding some new craft blogs (not necessarily new, but new to me!) blogs and wanted to share them with you! (in no particular order!)

1. eighteen 25 has some great kid’s craft ideas that can be done cheap and without a lot of prep. Perfect for a summer afternoon where they want something to do! They are currently having a GIVEAWAY so go over and check it out!!

2. Makes & Takes is a craft blog with lots of great kid’s ideas. Not only do they have lots of crafts but also recipes, and home projects. If you haven’t heard of it go check it out!

3. MmmCrafts is by a stay-at-home mom and has been one of my favorites since I began blogging. Not necessarily kid’s crafts but lots of great ideas!

4. Make It and Love It has some terrific craft ideas. I honestly think I could spend all day on craft blogs.

5. If you are a crafter make sure you head over to Somewhat Simple where they have Strut your Stuff Thursdays. Basically a blog party of everything that people are doing! Lots of fun ideas to be had!

Now if only I had unlimited funds to buy all the craft supplies I want and unlimited time to do it!
