Home Crafts for Christmas- Christmas Apron, Towles & Pillowcases

A few nights ago I had a little Christmas crafting marathon.  I have had some Christmas fabric for a few years that I have never used.  I have meant to every Christmas but then the time just gets away from me.  So I decided I was finally going to use it!

This is my favorite and while I would love to keep it for myself it is actually for my sister.  This is just using a simple bar towel and adding a top and then a ruffle bottom.

The back of the apron.

Christmas ruffle towels.  Simple bar towels from Target in a green color with the Christmas fabric.  I hung these in my bathroom.

Christmas pillow cases.  I love the minky fabric!  I had made one a few years back but oddly could not find it this year!

Easy, Custom iPhone Case

So I kind of have ADD when it comes to my iPhone case.  I don’t want to spend a fortune on something I am going to get sick of.  So I decided to buy a clear case and make a template to be able to change the background out.  I like to buy the TPU cases where they have a lip above the screen, I feel these have the best protection.

Here is my template and my case.  It took a few tries to get it to fit correctly but definitely worth it.

Then you trace your pattern on any pattern of paper.  Of course, make sure to trace it on the backside (I don’t really think y’all are stupid but I could totally see myself doing that.)

I really wanted to make a Christmas one and I found this shiny stripped paper.  It is currently my phone case right now.

Glitter black chevron paper.  I found a half off sale on the paper, which well paper is not really that expensive, the nice, glitter, shiny ones tend to be more.

I went a little overboard!  The best thing is when I get sick of them or want something new it is easy to just take out my phone and place in the new one.  You can see I ended up cutting the camera hole at the top.  I was using an exacto knife and was getting the hole correct but then it was just easier to go ahead and cut it.

My hot pink glitter.  I will probably use this one after Christmas.

Here they are in colored cases.  Still look pretty nice.  For under $10 I have quite a few iPhone cases to choose from!  I showed some people who thought that was how the case came, so I guess it looks pretty good!

Fold Over Elastic Bridal Gifts

So I know I have mentioned that my sister is getting married this month (the 13th to be exact) and I have been helping her with her Bridesmaid gifts.  I am her MOH so it won’t be a surprise to me as to what she is giving but I am happy to help out.  We have quite a little goody bag put together and since we are in LOVE with these elastics right now we wanted to add them as well.  I ordered lots of elastic and spent the evening after work today putting them together.  I just took cardstock, folded in half, and stamped a heart at the top and the girl’s name at the bottom.  Simple but it really makes a big statement and I love how they look.  I cannot wait for the girls to find them in their bags!

After that I worked on her wedding program because as she said, “I don’t know what, you are the creative one.”  haha.  I may be complaining about having a lot to do but secretly, deep down I do enjoy being the creative one and being given the creative license to run with my ideas.  I will be sharing more as I finish them up!

i am enough

I need to remember this now more than ever. God has a plan for me, whatever it is I need to trust it. I just hope I can be patient while trying to live in this crazy world.
