When God Makes Lemonade by Don Jacobson is separated into quite a few short stories about God showing up in situations where they may have thought all hope was lost, or in times of serious trouble and reflection.
I devoured it and read the entire book in one sitting (and it isn’t a small book!) on a three hour flight. I actually ended up sending it home with the lady next to me whose granddaughter was going through a hard time. It has stories of love, loss, injury, pain and more and it while the stories are sometimes sad they are meant to encourage because God shows up in the most unexpected of ways.
This book was really inspiring because the authors were able to see God’s hands on their lives as they looked back at these pivotal points in their lives. They may not have been able to see it then but in the end God knew what He was doing, He always does.
