Woah. Can y’all believe it is the middle of August? I can’t! Kids are back to school in Tennessee already and head back to school in Texas shortly.
1- Working Air Conditioning. We came home on Sunday to find our AC went out sometime while we were in TN. They came to fix on Monday and said the thermostat was broken. On Tuesday, it wasn’t working again. I don’t think it ever worked. They came back and a fan was out? (we JUST had a different fan replaced last month. Annoying when you buy a house and all these issues come up right after you move in :). So we replaced the fan. Wednesday, not working again! I can’t make this up. Thursday they said it was the motor. Now, I do think maybe they should have found these all originally but oh well. Bad thing is they mark up parts 300%+ so we will replace the motor ourselves.
2- A Handy Husband. See above. If he could not figure out how to install the motor we would be out quite a bit more.
3- The ability to read. We have been reading more over here in this house and to think how many people don’t get the chance to learn. (I know, it kind of sounds like a pageant answer but it is true how many people don’t have the ability).
4- Sunshine. What can I say? It is HOT here but the sunshine is oh so nice. I love crisp fall days that are sunny and a little cool. Granted, it isn’t that way right now… but fall is around the corner 
5- Scripture. There is nothing more calming then reading scripture that was written so long ago. Times will always change but that stays the same.
