Influenster #FrostyVoxBox- LOVE IT!

I have mentioned on my blog before that I am a member of Influenster (referral link). You can give product reviews, connect up your social profiles and my favorite is receive VoxBoxes with fun products to review! I received the #FrostyVoxBox this month and I can honestly say it is probably my favorite.

I absolutely LOVE this hairbrush. It is the Eco Tools Styler & Smoother. It isn’t a detangling brush per say but I used it to untangle my hair and it worked amazing. It makes my hair feel super smooth and glides through it. I love this brush! Retail: $10.99

Red Vines Fruit Bites. Okay, I may have a sugar problem and these are delicious! They don’t taste like normal Red Vines that you have bought at the store but they are delicious none the less! Retail: $1.28-$1.79.

NYC Expert Last Lip Color in Sugar Plum. I absolutely LOVE this. At first I was afraid the color was going to be way too dark as it looked dark but it wasn’t. It was just perfect and it was so smooth going on. I don’t think it lasted any longer than any other lipstick I have had but I still loved the color. And you cannot bet the price! Retail: $1.99

Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover. I haven’t used a ton of it but I used it to take off the water proof eyeliner and it worked great. I love using products meant for taking off make up over baby oil because they don’t leave excess oil on your skin. Retail: $7.49.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner. I think I need to check out Rimmel make-up more often. While I feel like the black was way too dark I really liked this and feel like if it was in a lighter shade it would have been perfect! It has 9 other shades. I also notice they have a Shadow Stick and Mascara. I may have to be trying those out! Retail: $4.49.

My VoxBox also came with Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Decaf Green Tea Sample, McCormick Gourmet Thyme and a No7 Protect & Perfect sample. I have not been able to try these yet but if the rest of the box is any indication I am sure they are amazing!

Mom came to visit!

So I was so excited that Mom came to visit me in Texas over Easter. I wish it could have been longer but I really enjoyed having a visitor to show around! We stayed super busy… Riverwalk, Shopping, More Shopping (San Marcos Outlets), drove by the Capitol in Austin and then up to Horseshoe Bay.

Riverwalk boat tour. Sadly, our tour guide was not the best, so that was kind of disappointing since Mom was here. I had done it before and we had a really good one, but it was still nice.

Not the best picture at the Capitol (Austin), and I have a statue coming out of my head, haha, but it was fun to stop to show it to Mom. This was after a long day of shopping where Mom tired me out!

Horseshoe Bay Marriott is absolutely beautiful. We love going to their restaurant for brunch. I had never had dinner there but we had their dinner buffet and it was wonderful!

Easter! Isn’t my mom pretty?

And he’s pretty good looking as well! It was actually Josiah’s birthday so we celebrated Friday night with my mom and then again on Sunday night with everyone.

Wordless Wednesday

Not completely wordless as I feel I must explain the suit. This is the Sky Tower in Sydney. They make you wear this ugly lovely suit. Sadly I also had a hair clip in my hair that had to be removed for fear it would fall and kill someone below.

Do you have an imaginary world?

Because Monkey does! In her world everything costs only $1 and the best part is the money is those plastic beads that you iron together. The glow-in-the-dark ones are worth a million each! I could pay off everything I needed to so fast in her world! And get this… cell phone plans are 3 cents a month with a phone only costing 30 cents! I think this world is our world’s answer to the problems!

The president of the world is a giant pink monkey named Mr./Mrs. Fluffy Pants (not sure which, it kept changing). This giant monkey makes all of the rules which my Monkey then dictates to me to write on her chalkboard. I will share some of this world’s rules…

You must wear a dress/skirt at ALL times (if you are a girl of course).
You cannot wear black. It is ugly.
You must act fancy at all times. Nothing less will be accepted.

This world is so popular that there is a waiting list to get in. And when someone is exiled from the world (as her cousin eventually was. And her sister who was never given a chance to do anything wrong) someone else gets in. You have to have a membership card too. Pretty intense.

“Yes, hello how may I help you? This is the Fancy Nancy Princess Palace.” I still don’t know who was calling her on her paper cell phone. She typed it into her paper laptop.

When her cousin refused (at first before he was exiled) to join her world she said… “I know my world isn’t real but I choose to use my imagination. My world is the best world ever. Maybe you should try using your imagination.” True words of wisdom spoken by an 8 yr old. I think I want to live in her world.

Also in her world this is a perfectly acceptable outfit to go to Target in. Notice the paper crown, tie dye scarf and pink blanket tied around her waist. Also decided on were the yellow socks (no shoes of course).

The backside looks even better, don’t you think?

Although this was a perfectly acceptable outfit once we got to Target her cousin talked her out of wearing it inside. I would have liked to see the looks. After allowing both to pick out two items at the dollar section (a crown & princess gloves for money of course). I was declared, “the best babysitter ever. Well, actually really our only babysitter ever but you are still the best.” Yeah I think my mission was accomplished for the day, don’t you?
