Head Over to Michael’s Now…

I love these signs but they are normally kind of expensive for a piece of wood with text on them. Michael’s has them in their “Dollar” section for $2, $3 and $5!! The large one was $5 but I used a coupon and got it for $2.50. The “blessing to someone” one was $2. I got that for my desk as I need that reminder when dealing with difficult customers! There were quite a few of them I really liked but I wasn’t going to spend a fortune on them :)

All I want for Christmas….

So I have a hard time buying for some people (perhaps my brother & father) and then an easy time buying for others (say my best friend and my sister), but I have found some pretty cool and interesting gifts to share with you. Now as I type this I have not purchased any of these but who knows if I change my mind.

I’m not going to lie, I kind of want this one for myself. If I could buy it individually instead of a 500 piece minimum I may even go for it, it doesn’t look too comfortable but worth a try!

I apologize that it is digitized but the picture was so small.  But this is called the Boogie Board and is a paperless LCD tablet.  I saw it when I was out shopping and you draw on it and then you push a button and it clears the entire thing.  Now, I don’t need this but this would be an awesome gift for a child who loves to draw etc.  It was pretty fun.

I really have no idea why I want the 80s Retro iPhone Case but I just think it is hysterical and I wonder what people would really think if they saw someone out with that.

This is seriously one of the coolest things ever. A portable Super Nintendo!! I still have so many Super Nintendo games and this would be so much fun. I’d say this would definitely be worth the money if I had lots of extra money to go around, haha.

Okay, this is pretty cool. It reseals your chips bags etc. I don’t eat a lot of chips but I am sure this has more uses.

My new Toms

So I absolutely love Toms (here are mine from last year). Now, I don’t really like their price tag (yes, I do like the buy a shoe, get a shoe but I still think the prices are a little high for what you are actually getting, anyway…).

My best friend’s mom gave me a Toms give card to cheer me up when I had surgery (it was very, very sweet!) and I had been wanting gray Toms for a long time.  So I finally ordered them!  I also ordered the black ones.  Last year I ordered pink sparkly and houndstooth and so I want a little simpler/matches with everything this year, haha.  Anyway, I absolutely love them!

It took me a little while to get them though because Toms changed their sizing from last year.  They now run a little smaller, so if you are going to order online I suggest ordering a 1/2 size down.  If you can I also suggest going to a place like Journey’s or somewhere to try them on to make sure they fit.  :)

Now, you may have seen the Toms Wedding collection before.  I had never seen them in person, only online but I thought they would be perfect to wear for my sister’s reception at her wedding!  She loved the idea and she got ivory and I got the petal pink.  Now, I only wish I could wear them but I want them to be nice and clean!  :)

Anyway, I just wanted to share my Toms.  I have a little obsession with them!!

MudLOVE Bracelets

So have you heard of MudLOVE Pottery? I hadn’t until the other day. I actually do not remember how I stumbled upon the site but took forever choosing which ones I was going to order. For $5 you receive a handmade pottery bracelet and for every $5 you spend you provide someone in Africa clean water for ONE YEAR!

Not only are they absolutely adorable, I feel good knowing I am helping provide clean water to people who otherwise would not receive it. They were my ‘get better’ gift for myself.

On a surgery note, it has been getting worse. I am itching like crazy (from the codeine I think) and swallowing anything (liquids included) is not pleasant. I got some baby food from the store last night and at least that switches the diet up from popsicles and pudding. :) My sleep has been completely off and I normally wake up coughing or scared of choking but even with all of this I know I am still going to be happy I did this.

I will say I am having the animals to keep me company. Izzy (the cat) has been keeping me lots of company in addition to Pancake (not pictured) and Chloe (big dog).  Currently Pancake & I are watching Netflix.  I think I’ll have gone through every show by the time this is over!

Hope you are having a Happy Sunday!
